Lawrence and Sharon Tarantino
n 1984 Lawrence Tarantino, AIA and Sharon Tarantino founded Tarantino Architect and have developed an impressive portfolio including private schools, universities, commercial, residential and preservation projects, specializing in the restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright structures. The firm holds architectural licenses in NJ, NY and PA, and a planning license in NJ. Additionally, The NJ Historic Preservation Office has listed Tarantino Architect on its roster of Historical Architects. They have won The American Institute of Architects, New Jersey, Design Award and The Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy's Wright Spirit Award for their restoration work on their fabulous Frank Lloyd Wright designed home. Tarantino Studio was formed in 2001, in an effort to bring together the diverse aspects of their practices, offering clients the full breath of their experience in product design. At the 2002 International Contemporary Furniture Fair in NYC, a children's furniture line was introduced. Since then Tarantino Collection has received a bounty of press coverage and was honored by Time Magazine as one of the "Coolest Inventions of 2002". In 2006, Offi & Company and Tarantino Studio signed an agreement to team up to maximize the worldwide success of the Tarantino Collection of furniture made of EVA material. We had preliminary discussions over dinner at Sharon and Lawrence's home back in 2003, and although it took three years to find the right deal we are so excited to be working together now.
